DAY 1 : SUKARARE - BANYUMULEK

Visit Sukarare renowned for its traditional weaving, the techniques for which have been handed down from mother to daughter for genertaions. Each pieces of cloth is woven on a handloom in istablished patterns and colors. Some fabrics are woven in as many as four directions and interwoven with gold thread. They can be so complicated that they take one person three months to complete. Lombok´s terracotta pottery is gaining an international reputation for its quality workmanship. In the village of Banyumulek (clear - water) you can see pottery makers painstakingly molding vases, jugs and plates in exactly the same way as they have been crafted for centuries.

DAY 2 : CITY TOUR - KUTA BEACH

Admire what former capital 0f Lombok under the Balinese rajah has to offer, Located almost in the city center is Mayura Water Palace, built in 1744. The remains of Balinese royal complex set in idyllic park with avenue of mangos teens. Continue on to Narmada summer palace - that has historical connection with Mayura Water Palace - built in 1727 by an Balinese king. Too frail to journey to the summit of Mt. Rinjani to make his offerings, he had this garden laid out around a spring as miniature replica of the volcano and the lake. Drive through country side to see rice field and traditional farming. Visit Sade, a hamlet built in the traditional Sasak (Lombok ethnic group) style. The houses are made engtirely of adobe, roofed with alang - alang (a type of long grass). Last stop will be Kuta Beach - the magnificent south coast - whre you may havelunch in a local restaurant close to the beach - but not included on the package. Back to the airport for your return flight.
